I spoke with my contact at Yakima about whether the RocketBox Pro 14, # Y07192 is waterproof. He stated that none of the Yakima cargo boxes are waterproof, however they are weather resistant. This means if you have something that cannot get wet, you would need to put it in something that is waterproof first, before loading it in the carrier.

I went ahead and called my tech at Rhino-Rack, and she confirmed that the reason why there are two different heights of legs that come with the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack # RLZ01-DC is because of the curvature of the roof.
